The barn painting in this room came into our clients' lives first, long before this home was a twinkle in their eyes. We love the way it looks in this space and chose not to overwhelm it with the expected nautical theme. We DID bow slightly to convention, with the design of the "racey" blue and red ultrasuede appliqués on the natural denim pillows. The overscale plaid area rug and comfortable linen-clad custom sofa, club chair and oversize ottoman add interest without detracting from the freshness of the space.
