Here a wonderful 1930s French starburst mirror is the perfect complement to a sophisticated blue-gray painted commode (which hides a 36" television). Just visible in the foreground is a rich cocoa-colored raw silk sofa. Opposite, a flea shop find caned seat chair stripped of all pretense. The surface of the commode is the perfect spot for a rich assemblage of uncommon accessories: a sterling Jefferson Cup filled with white porcelain berries, a bronze Buddha hand, a green marble obelisk, travertine lamp and, to take things down a bit, a wonderfully tactile gray-green lichen ball - a signature of our firm. |
