Good design combines function and form. In your home, a chair shouldn’t just be gorgeous, but sublimely comfortable; a lamp, not a feast for the eye, but perfect for reading. Is a fabric the “right fabric” for a chair, when you’re worrying over what a spill can do to it? This vignette is composed of some of the best designed objects available anywhere by both criteria: a bronze Lyle & Umbach “Starburst” lamp (yes, this is one of our favorite things and the price, not for the faint of heart); a stunning “bench made” Roman Thomas mahogany commode; and a svelte club chair designed by John Hutton for Holly Hunt. The framed intaglio by Dessin Fournir is pure “eye candy”! |
